An auction where some of the artworks from the art show are sold. The con usually takes a small percentage from each sale. Each artwork in the art show will generally have a form next to it that allows you to write in an initial bid if you are interested in buying it. If an item doesn't have any initial bids that meet the reserve price by the end of the art show, it won't go to auction. If an item only has one initial bid that meets the reserve price, it will be sold directly to that bidder without going to auction. An item only goes to the auction if the bidding form contains multiple bids above the reserve price.
