The part of the con hotel where real ale, real cider, other drinks, and sometimes food are served. Hotels often have more than one bar, and some hotels divide them into separate smoking and non-smoking bars, but this will change once the new anti-smoking legislation comes into force and all bars are required to be non-smoking.
