Book signing

A programme event where an author autographs things for their fans. There is not normally any charge for signings at an Eastercon, unlike at many media cons, but you do need to bring something with you for the author to sign. The event usually takes place near the dealers' room, so you can buy some of the author's books and immediately take them to be signed. If the author is very popular, there may be a long queue and there may be a limit to the number of items the author is prepared to sign for you. It is a good idea to have the thing you want signing open and ready before you arrive at the front of the queue in order to save time.
