A con specifically for media SF, often aimed at one specific show such as Star Trek or Red Dwarf. Most media cons are run on a commercial basis, paying actors to appear and charging fans for autographs, and as such they offer a very different experience to a fan-run con like Eastercon. An example of a non-commercial fan-run media con is Redemption.
